In 2024, Argos launched its first AI powered consumer activation in Manchester at Christmas, around the idea of compiling a gift list for ‘whatever they’re dreaming of’ during the festive period.
In line with the campaign theme, and using elements from the activation itself, Glass Onion Films was tasked with creating a suite of teaser assets designed to generate buzz, incorporating brand elements like the Argos red and iconic red present front, hinting at the activation without giving too much away. The assets were used on socials to create thumb stopping content to raise awareness of the event, and also as digital OOH messaging on the day driving members of the public attendance to the activation itself.
We installed hidden fixed cameras to capture candid reactions as well as taking a handheld documentary-style approach to capture the excitement and joy of the experience. Footage was used to create engaging social edits that celebrated the magic of the event, maintaining momentum across socials post-event.
